I thought I'd kick off the New Year with a brief round up of some commercial commissions that I've been working on recently.....
I was commissioned by Immediate Media to shoot a couple of portraits for Lurpak Slow Churned, including the shot above of charming chef Richard Bertinet, and lovely food blogger Rachel Phipps. The shoot took place at a South London location house way back in October, but the images were only released before Christmas, appearing in BBC Good Food and Delicious Magazine - these projects have a long gestation period sometimes! It was lovely to shoot foodie portraits rather than still life for a change, especially with the early Autumn light co-operating so nicely!
(Many thanks to the lovely team at Immediate and Lurpak for the commission, to Richard and Rachel for being so accommodating on the day, and to Jonathon at Lisa Pritchard for ensuring everything ran smoothly!)
In the run up to Christmas I was commissioned to shoot some food/wine images for London gastro pub company The Cunning Plan Pub Group, across a couple of their locations - the newly revamped The Bull near Liverpool St and The Fox & Anchor in Smithfields. Prop styling on the day was by the lovely Rose Murray.
Both pubs are in really vibrant parts of London, so we tried to capture the distinctive atmosphere of each location. There was something quite surreal about arriving in the heart of town at 7am one Sunday to start shooting - passing revellers still making their way home from the night before as we unloaded our kit!
Many thanks to Laura at The Cunning Plan Group for the commission and to Tom for assisting.
