Some new work shot for Lele's in Clapton, who specialise in really creative and unusual Vegan patisserie.....extensive post shoot cake sampling may have happened......rude not to really...
Some new editorial work, shot for Brooklyn based artisanal cheese magazine "Culture" - showcasing a selection of unusual thistle rennet cheeses - possibly the most pungent shoot I've ever worked on but great to see the final results hitting newsstands in the U.S this week....
Lovely to be able to share some of the stills from a global image library that I shot at the end of last year for Shell - showcasing their forecourt food and drink offer. Commissioned by Iris Worldwide and Foxtrot Papa we spent five days in the studio shooting both stills and moving image for markets including Europe, South Africa and Asia.
Great fun having our own "garage" set build to shoot around - though slightly challenging resisting shelves full of sweets and crisps for five whole days....
Look forward to sharing the moving image from the shoot soon as well.
Commissioned by Shell/Iris Worldwide/Foxtrot Papa, Production and Retouching Foxtrot Papa, Food styling Frankie Unsworth assisted by Charlotte O'Connell, Prop Styling Clare Piper, Photo Assisting Ben Hughes, Make up Laura Barrow, models Renato, Eric, Mark and Delina from BMA Models, Set build by Art-Dept, shot at PSC Studios.
Delighted to have my portrait of the beautiful Grace from BMA Models selected for the British Journal of Photography's 2017 Portrait of Britain exhibition. One of my favourite shots from a personal shoot from earlier this year.
The exhibition will be live on JCDecaux electronic screens nationwide throughout September....
Styling from Emma Lahaye and photo assistant Ben Hughes.
Some new work shot last month, commissioned by one of North London's most popular gastro pubs, The Stag. Showcasing their private dining space, we shot a series of atmospheric candlelit evening table set ups.
Production - Lisa Pritchard Agency, Photo Assistant - Ben Hughes.
Great to be commissioned for a second time by The Art Fund to shoot an update on last year's National Art Pass campaign.
Continuing the bold use of colour from last year's still life shoot this time we added a more playful feel, with 'micro' mini eggs and paper shapes.....and keeping the lighting fresh and soft to match the pastel palette.
Thanks to The Art Fund for the commission, Production by Lisa Pritchard Agency, Styling by Clare Piper, Photo Assisting by Ben Hughes.
Great to be shooting again last month with young Smoothie brand PACK'D - as the company have gone from strength to strength in the year since I last shot with them, we took a slightly different approach to this shoot.
Alongside food stylist Emma Lahaye we worked on a series of punchy/clean lined still life shots that showcased the amazing superfood powders and fresh fruit and veg that go into each PACK'D smoothie sachet...
Some new interiors work shot last year at a beautiful renovated Victorian cottage in South London, belonging to Sound Engineer Jake and his wife Emily. In love with the monochrome styling that links the whole house together.
Styling and props by Clare Piper, and Photo Assisting Ben Hughes.
Back in October I was commissioned by regular client The Art Fund to shoot a really creative still life series, to promote the launch of the recently rebranded National Art Pass and Art Map. Working with stylist Clare Piper we had a great couple of days using punchy colours, graphic set design and crisp lighting to bring the beautiful new branding to life.
Some new personal lifestyle work, shot around the streets of Shoreditch last month, working with models April and Lola on one of the last days that still felt a bit like summer......fun shoot keeping things loose and natural with minimal kit and making the most of East London's great street locations...
Styling/model casting - Angelina Pretty, Models - Lola and April, Photo Assistant - Ben Hughes
Some new food photography from a recent shoot for New York based private chef Cressida Greening......sadly shot in London not the big apple!
Cressida's cooking showcases beautiful seasonal ingredients so it was an opportunity to highlight the colours and textures of the food, with simple propping and making the most of the soft late summer natural light.
Thanks to Tom at Lisa Pritchard and Selim Korycki for photo assisting.
Loved shooting Carnaby Street's "Street Eat" food festival for the second year running last week, was an amazing day with the streets of Soho astroturfed, filled with inflatable palm trees and absolutely packed out with brilliant street food and drink!
Quite possibly one of the hottest/sunniest shoots I've ever worked on, but worth a few layers of Factor 50 to be able to spend the day working outside and shooting with a pared down reportage kit set up for a change!
Thanks to Sister PR/Shaftesbury PLC for the commission, Tom at Lisa Pritchard and Ben Hughes for photo assisting.
Last month I collaborated with British actor Joseph Railton and stylist Clare Piper on some new lifestyle work, shooting on location in a beautiful Shoreditch warehouse, and making the most of the amazing light on a mid heatwave perfect summer's day.
Thanks to Ben Hughes for photo assisting.
Lovely to be able to share the kids lifestyle/food campaign I shot for Harvester back in the Spring, commissioned by Pablo London.
